Cathy Nolan is a former New York State Assemblywoman for District 37, having been first elected in 1984. During her time in the there, she served as chair of both the Labor and Banking Committees. Both during her time on the Labor committee and off, she has pushed legislation to protect and promote workers’ rights and was highly influential in getting the Farm Laborers Fair Labor Practices Act passed in 2019.
Jessica García is Assistant to the President of the Retail, Wholesale Department Store Union (RWDSU), and previously served as the political director for the union. She is currently serving as chair of board of the New York Committee for Safety and Health and vice-president of the Rural and Migrant Ministry board of directors, and a member of the board of the Costa Rican-based organization, Vivir El Sueno.
