Elise Gould has been a researcher at the Economic Policy Institute since 2003. She focuses her research on wages, poverty, inequality, economic mobility and healthcare. She has co-authored two books:The State of Working America, 12th Edition, and a book on health insurance coverage in retirement. She has been published in numerous academic journals and on the op-ed pages of USA Today and The Detroit News.
Bill Spriggs is a professor in, and former Chair of, the Department of Economics at Howard University and serves as Chief Economist to the AFL-CIO. In his role with the AFL-CIO, he chairs the Economic Policy Working Group for the Trade Union Advisory Committee to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and serves on the board of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is a former Asssistant Secretary of Labor for Policy in the Obama-Biden Administration.
Teresa Ghilarducci is a labor economist and nationally recognized expert in retirement security. She currently holds the Irene and Bernard L. Schwartz Chair in economic policy analysis in the Economics Department at the New School for Social Research. She directs the Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis, which focuses on economic policy research and outreach.
