Watch Burnes Center Senior Fellow Seth Harris in conversation with two front-line UAW members, Glenn Kage and Don Looney, as they discuss their fellow strikers attitudes toward the strike, what it will take to settle, and what it is like to work in an auto factory.
Don Looney is a dedicated fighter of equity in education, access to public education, worker's rights, and a better future for our state and country. He currently serves as the Wentzville Township Committeeman and represents the 2nd Congressional District in the State Party. Looney is a member of UAW Local 2250 where he serves as the Co-Chair of the Legislative Committee.
Glenn Kage is the current legislative chair and former president of Local 2250 representing Wentzville workers. He has dedicated many hours to the picket lines since the historic "stand up" strike began on September 15th, 2023. When he's not on the front lines, Kage takes to TikTok to share footage from the day and to educate people on unions, strikes, and other collective action.
