Northeastern University’s Huskies Organizing With Labor (HOWL) will be hosting their first labor summit, an event aimed at building community and connection among worker groups on campus. The summit will take place this Saturday, April 1 from 6:00-7:30 PM ET, and will have both in-person and virtual attendance capabilities. RSVP here.

Described as “an opportunity for Northeastern University workers, students, and organizers to come together and connect over shared struggles and hopes for the future of labor justice at Northeastern,” the summit will host a panel of speakers from different campus worker groups, including dining hall workers, graduate workers, and faculty.  Participants will share their experiences with organizing campaigns and contract fights, as well as their thoughts on broader trends in labor organizing such as union-busting, the pandemic’s impact on labor organizing, and organizing across cultures and campuses.

The summit will be held in person in room 440 of the the Egan Research Center at Northeastern University, and over Zoom. Find the Zoom link and more information on the RSVP form, linked above.
