I appeared on Bloomberg TV's Balance of Power with Joe Mathieu and Kailey Lentz on Monday, September 16 to discuss several issues important to workers and worker power.
First, we discussed Vice-President Kamala Harris's meeting with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and the prospect of a Teamsters endorsement. I listed some of the policies the Vice-President was likely to discuss with the Teamsters leaders and rank and filers. I also made a prediction about the endorsement. Second, we discussed the International Association of Machinists' strike against Boeing. There are a lot of angry Machinists in Washington state and they want to see real progress in these negotiations. I assessed that Boeing may have shot itself in the foot more times than any other corporation in America. Will that change? I offered my take.
Finally, we discussed the Federal Reserve's upcoming meeting and whether it will cut interest rates. Again, I offered my prediction about what will happen, but I also expressed my concern that the Fed's action could be too little too late. Please watch and let me know if you agree.
