Prior to serving as the legislative coordinator for CWA Local 1180, John O'Malley was a worker at Verizon, where he organized, participated in bargaining and led strikes. After facing retaliation from his employer, O'Malley played a role in building up the Local 1120 Legislative and Political Action Team in Poughkeepsie, New York. He now works with CWA Local 1180 in organizing not-for-profit workers.
