Watch the Burnes Center for Social Change's Seth Harris in conversation with Tony Clark, Executive Director of the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), as they discuss the minor league organizing success, baseball players as workers, the importance of unions in baseball, and more.
Prior to becoming the MLBPA's Executive Director, Clark played major league baseball as a first baseman from 1995 to 2009. Though being involved with the MLBPA throughout his career, his first formal role was the Director of Player Relations, which he held in 2010. Clark was unanimously voted Executive Director in 2013, becoming the first former player to hold the position.
